Today I simply followed the plan I had made last week for both of my ancillary texts and finally created the CD Album cover and Magazine advert for 'LaBelle' Digi Pack.
This is the front cover of LaBelle 'Breaking Boundaries' Album.
This is the inside cover of the album.
This is area of which the large rose is where the CD will be placed.
This is the back of the album with a list of songs by LaBelle and the recording company and rights to the lyrics and music and also the bar code and website in order to find out more about LaBelle, and of course more flowers to again make LaBelle more recognisable.

Set up a Shoot for the CD Album cover & Magazine Advert
Friday 20th November 2009
Today I set up the photo shoot which was quite quick and simple as I only wanted my artist 'La Belle' dressed up and against a plain white wall which would then allow me to add further details using programmes such as Adobe Photoshop to construct the remaining of the CD album cover and magazine advert.
This is actually the image I selected to go on the front cover of the Digi pack as the Album front cover. I particularly like this shot the actress is looking directly at the camera which is supposed to suggest she is looking directly to the audience further suggesting that her music is truthful and honest.
This image below as you can see is not completely against a white wall as there is the distraction of the wooden floor which lessens the quality of the photograph so in order to avoid this I used a programmed called Adobe Photoshop which allowed me to use a lasso tool and lasso around my actress as that's the part of the image that I want then completely erase her from the background leaving me with an image free from any background distraction. You see the final image in my digi pack later in my blog.

Started to design my CD Album cover and Magazine Advert for 'La Belle'
Wednesday 18th November 2009
In today's lesson I basically took inspiration from the album covers that I researched last week and added my own creative flare to it in order for it to be an original product of 'La Belle'.
As we used a number of flowers in the music video I knew I somehow had to include and encorporate this on the album cover as this truly portrays the real nataural beauty that 'La Belle' stands for and simply is more recognisable for our target audience.

1st Editing Session!
Friday 13th November 2009
Today was our first editing session which means today was the first time we got to see our footage all layed out on a time line. When editing we use a Apple Mac and the editing programme called Adobe Premiere Pro, which is an absolutely great programme that allows you to do so many creative things.
Today my partner and I only managed to watched what we had filmed and the footage and clips we liked and intended to use, we dragged down onto the timeline ready to edit during our next editing session.

Researched Album Adverts In Music Magazines
Friday 13th November 2009
As my artist 'La Belle' is categorised in the 'Pop' genre I obviously had to research music magazines that cater for this genre and audience so music magazines like 'NME' and 'Kerrang' completely stray from point.
Q Magazine proved to be a hit.
I did a little research into who from the 'Pop' genre has actually featured on the cover and inside Q Magazine and found a number of female artists actually have.
Above you are able to see the likes of: Madonna, Britney and Beyonce.
Lady Gaga and Cheryl Cole are also female artists from the 'Pop' genre who have graced to covers of Q Magazine in order to promote their Album and their star persona.
As Leona Lewis is now such an established and successful artist the layout of her Album Advert is relatively simple as Leona doesn't need to rely on glamorous exaggerated images as she is so hugely popular she merely needs to write 'OUT NOW' and her records will sure sell. Although, you could argue that her album advert is simple merely due to the fact that she is a simple humble kind of woman who purely wants to sing and doesn't care for such material things that may distract from her impeccable talent.
